Greg Hulse

an accomplished oboist, hails from Scranton, Pennsylvania. He pursued his higher education at both Marywood University (BM Edu) and the Pennsylvania State University, enriching his musical expertise and solidifying his foundation in the performing arts. As a dedicated freelance musician, Mr. Hulse has established himself throughout the Tri-State region, showcasing his talent in a variety of musical settings. Since 2003, he has held the prestigious position of principal oboist with the Allentown Band, contributing his expressive artistry to the ensemble. In addition to his role with the Allentown Band, Greg is a founding member of the Pit Players woodwind quintet, where he collaborates with fellow musicians to explore the rich repertoire for woodwind ensembles. His versatility as a musician is highlighted by his frequent appearances in pit orchestras throughout the country for theatrical productions, where he skillfully plays not only the oboe but also the English horn, clarinet, and saxophone. Mr. Hulse has been fortunate to learn from esteemed instructors throughout his musical journey, including notable figures such as William Weber, Thomas Heinze, and Timothy Hurtz. Their guidance has shaped his artistry and fostered his passion for oboe.
